Synopsis:
Opinions vary widely as to what the critical issues are in success/survival of dental implants for the long term. This presentation will focus on several key factors that are presumed to determine success and survival of dental implants. Peri-implantitis and modes of prosthesis retention are associated with implant complications. This presentation will focus on the available evidence and will attempt to make some sense out of this widely diverse evidence.
