Dr. Joe Kan

Dr. Kan received DDS from Loma Loma University School of Dentistry (LLUSD), California, and then completed Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry with MS. He is Professor and maintains a private practice. Dr. Kan honors include, 1997 Best Research Award from Academy of Osseointegration, 2003 Judson C. Hinckey Scientific Award from Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 2019 Honorary Membership from Association of Dental Implantology, UK, 2020 Distinguished Research Award from LLUSD, and 2020 Distinguished Speaker Award from Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontist. In 2021, Dr. Kan received both Honorary Membership and Clinical Research Award from American Academy of Periodontology. Dr. Kan is on Editorial Board of several journals. He was Program Chairman for 2018 Academy of Osseointegration (AO) Annual Meeting in Los Angeles, and is currently on AO Board of directors. In 2018, Dr. Kan performed live patient surgery on immediate implant and Provisionalization with CT graft for the 104th Annual meeting of American Academy of Periodontology. Besides lecturing nationally and internationally, Dr. Kan has published over 100 referenced articles and book chapters on interdisciplinary treatment planning, periodontal peri-implant tissue management, and immediate tooth replacement.
