Garver-Staffanou Prosthodontic Program Director's Award for Excellence
Nominating a Candidate
To be eligible, a candidate:
• Must have served as a program director of an ADA-accredited advanced educational specialty program in prosthodontics for a minimum of 5 years. Current and past program directors are eligible. Candidates do not need to be Academy members.
Candidates should show evidence of:
• Having made a significant contribution to the specialty of prosthodontics through publications, presentations at major prosthodontic meetings, leadership roles in prosthodontic organizations, or outstanding contributions that the director?s former residents have made to the specialty of prosthodontics.
• Having demonstrated excellence in postdoctoral prosthodontic education. Examples of excellence could include: exceptional course materials, outstanding presentations at major prosthodontic meetings or innovative teaching methods.
Nomination is initiated by an Academy member by submitting a letter of nomination to the Chair of the Committee. This letter should include a testimonial, explaining why the nominee deserves this award. Nominations should be sent by June 22, 2024 to receive consideration for the award to be presented at the Academy's annual session the following February. The Award Committee will request curriculum vitae from the candidate.
