Dr. Lino Calvani
Dr. Lino Calvani, is an Adjunct Associate Professor to the Department of Prosthodontics and Operative Dentistry at Tufts University SDM since 2005, and he has been invited to lecture at Harvard, U. CONN, and U. Maryland. He is also faculty of FLiP, Future Leaders in Prosthodontics. Dr. Calvani is a Board Certified MD and DDS, University La Sapienza and O.M.O., Rome, Italy, and is a Board Certified Dental Technician, Maggiori Inst., Rome, Italy. He has a Certificate of Plastic Surgery of Face, Head and Neck from S.M.O., Rome, Italy. He has a Certificate in Prosthodontics, Tufts University SDM, Boston, is a US Board Certified Prosthodontist, and he is Fellow of the ACP, AP, ICP, GNYAP, ICD, RSM. He has a MSc in Applied Biomechanics Engineering, from the Department of Bio-Engineering, Wolfson Center, Strathclyde University, Glasgow, UK; a MSc in Experimental and Translational Therapeutics, from the Department of Oncology, Oxford University, Oxford, UK; a MSc in Economics and Sustainable Human Resource Management, European University of Rome, Rome, Italy; a PhD Summa cum Laude in Prosthodontics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Past-President of the Italian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, IAED, and Former Director of the Region 7, International, of the ACP, he has been a Board Member of the American College of Prosthodontists. Dr. Calvani has been the 2020 recipient of the Private Practice Prosthodontics Award from the American College of Prosthodontists, and is the author of the higher educational textbook: “Fundamentals of Treatment Planning. Guidelines on how to develop, plan, write and deliver a prosthodontic care project.” Quintessence Publishing, 2020. He has lectured extensively Nationally and Internationally, has numerous publications on National and International peer-reviewed journals, and is an Active Member of the Editorial Review Board of the International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry. Dr. Calvani has a private multidisciplinary practice in Rome.
