Nominating a Candidate

Baker Faculty Award Description

Nomination may be initiated by any Academy member or faculty in a dental school. The nomination letter should be sent to the chair of the award committee. This letter should explain why an individual is being nominated. The curriculum vitae of the nominated individual should be included with the nomination.
Nominations should be sent by May 15 to receive consideration for the Award presented at the Academy’s Annual Session the following February.

To be eligible, a candidate must:

-    Be a fixed prosthodontic faculty member of an accredited dental school
-    Have been an pre-doctoral faculty for less than ten years
-    Have an academic rank below full professor
Consideration in determining the award will include the following:

-    Commitment to fixed prosthodontic education
-    Excellence in teaching, demonstrated by:
-    Innovative teaching techniques
-    Evaluations by students/faculty
-    Course materials
-    Teaching awards
-    Contribution to the field of fixed prosthodontics such as:
-    Prosthodontic organizational membership / service
-    Presentations (oral, table clinics or posters)
-    Publications
